Environmental
Transport Modeling
Exposures are often dependent on the ability
of a radionuclide or chemical to migrate through
the biosphere. Auxier & Associates can determine
a radiological exposure dose by modeling the
movement of radionuclides and chemicals through
the environment. We have extensive experience
in simulating the environmental transport of
a wide variety of substances in a variety of
climates and media. We have coordinated large,
multi-media modeling efforts that involved multi-disciplinary
teams in several different cities.
Our environmental transport modeling capabilities
are an integral part of our core business. We
routinely use standard computer codes that are
used or required by federal or state radiation
regulatory agencies, including the RESRAD family
of codes, DandD, GENII, Microshield 5, VARSKIN2,
CAP88, Industrial Source Complex Dispersion
Model (ISC3), Fugitive Dust Model (FDM), MILDOS,
CINDY, CALINE, CALPUF, COMPLY, and HELP3. We
have an extensive library of literature describing
the transport of materials in the environment
and compilations of applicable transport factor
values. Our models and transport factors are
continually updated to provide up-to-date and
well based environmental transport modeling
capabilities.
