health physics-related programs are needed on

present state and federal requirements.
A health physics program assessment (sometimes
referred to as an appraisal) is the initial
step to keep your program compliant. An assessment
may be performed as a result of company concerns
or in response to concerns raised by a third
party, such as a regulatory or oversight organization.
The primary concern of an assessment is to perform
an overview to determine whether your current
programs are in accordance with state and national
regulatory compliance and are consistent with
"good practice" measures within the
